About us....

What is i3mphotostock and just how did it come about? Who are the individuals, the company and the team behind it? Well, grab a cup of your favourite coffee and let us enlighten you about how our community and portfolio came into being.

i3m Limited - Once upon a time in a land far away..

Originally i3mphotostock (or istockreative.com as is was known back then) started life as the in house stock portfolio for i3m, its founding and holding company here in the United Kingdom. A small portfolio of stock images (primarily for client catalogues and web sites) the portfolio was soon made available to clients to review online, in order to make access quicker and simpler.

It was inevitable that putting the portfolio online would not just attract potential clients. More and more potential contributors approached over the following months and enquired about adding their images to the online portfolio. This allowed a wider scope to the portfolio and over the course of time the site and coverage grew. Towards the end of 2008 the small in-house server that i3mphotostock existed on had to be upgraded and after consultation with all members involved it was decided to promote the portfolio to a wider potential audience, upgrade the community features and enable the site to act as an agent for those members.

Today we continue to grow steadily with members from across the globe, including USA, South America, Europe and Australia. The original format of the site is currently being upgraded to offer free services to members and attract more customers for the portfolio. With an established membership the site has however been kept functioning to allow existing members to contribute to its development.
